Every amber point is a storm overflow we saw spilling between 28 February and 30 June 2026, logged several times a day from South West Water's live map. The brighter the point, the longer it spilled. Rings are Devon's monitored bathing beaches, filled amber by how much spilling happened within 3 km of each.
Out of 615 overflows seen discharging, these eight ran longest. The bar is discharge hours; the tag shows the nearest monitored beach.
Pick a beach. We use the Environment Agency's official monitoring location for each one and show every overflow that discharged within 3 km so far in 2026. All distances are straight-line, not the path water actually takes.
The Environment Agency samples designated bathing waters through the season and classifies each on four years of results: 5 excellent, 10 good, 3 sufficient. These are the 2024 classifications.
