Look for the landowner's signs and dog map on the beach. This is landowner control, not a Public Spaces Protection Order, so it is not a criminal offence, but access is a condition of entry. Woolacombe and Mortehoe Tourist Information states the restrictions apply 9am to 6pm; the landowner's own map states no times.

Three large car parks accommodate thousands of vehicles but fill rapidly during peak periods. The village provides comprehensive facilities including shops, restaurants, cafés, and accommodation. Water sports equipment hire is readily available, while the award-winning beach facilities include toilets, showers, and first aid. The location provides access to the Tarka Trail and South West Coast Path, while nearby Morte Point offers dramatic cliff scenery and historical interest.
