Devon Dog Beaches is an independent guide to dog-friendly beaches across Devon. This page explains what happens to information when you use the site.
What we collect
The site is a set of static information pages. There are no accounts to create, no log-in, and no forms that store your details. We do not ask for or keep personal information about you.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which beaches are popular. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you view, which we see only as aggregate statistics. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your data. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Third-party services
To display the pages, your browser loads some content from other providers. As a normal part of serving that content, they may see your IP address:
- Fonts from Google Fonts.
- Map tiles from OpenStreetMap, shown using the Leaflet library.
- Beach photographs hosted by Google.
- Google Analytics, which measures site usage as described above.
- Hosting by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs for security and performance.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to change or delete. If you have a question about privacy, please get in touch.
