Weston Super Mare Beach

Dog-Friendly Beach in Somerset

Weston-super-Mare offers one of Britain's largest beaches, stretching for miles of firm sand backed by the traditional Victorian resort infrastructure. The beach divides into sections with varying dog policies, but the sheer scale ensures excellent exercise opportunities year-round. The resort provides comprehensive amenities while maintaining the space and natural character essential for dog exercise. Dogs are welcome year-round between Royal Sands and Uphill, and between the Grand Pier and Marine Lake. The central section between Royal Sands and the Grand Pier restricts dogs from May to September between 9am and 7pm, but permits access at other times. This provides excellent access while protecting busy family areas during peak periods. Multiple large car parks serve the beach and town, while the railway station provides excellent public transport access. The level promenade and comprehensive facilities ensure accessibility for all visitors. The town provides full resort amenities including amusements, shops, restaurants, and regular events. Nearby attractions include the Grand Pier, Helicopter Museum, and excellent access to the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels.
